The Good Hart Artist Residency located in Good Hart, Michigan offers 2-3 week residencies to dedicated visual artists, writers, and composers. The residency provides a 1,150 sqft residency and a 24×14 detached studio, food, a $500.00 stipend, and a quiet setting to concentrate on creative work. The resident artist is housed in a rural area within walking distance of Lake Michigan and the village of Good Hart, along the “Tunnel of Trees,” a Scenic Heritage Route. 

The Emmanuel College Art Department offers a six-week artist residency to four artists each summer. The residency supports a diverse group of artists, providing uninterrupted time and space for established and emerging artists to develop their work.   

The Art Department specifically aims to award a residency to one individual from each of the four categories: ceramics, photography, printmaking and social practice. We strive to foster a supportive environment so artists have the opportunity to achieve their creative and artistic goals. The residency also plays an important role in advancing the visual arts on the Emmanuel campus, making contemporary art accessible to students, staff, and faculty.  

Civitella Ranieri Foundation is an international residency program bringing together visual artists, writers, and composers to work independently and communally without judgment or interruption.  Every year from May to November, CRF opens the doors of its 15th-century castle in Italy to 12-15 accomplished artists for four six-week, fully-funded residency sessions. CRF offers a peaceful and welcoming sojourn during which its community deepens connections to one another and to the world.

The artist residency program of The Truro Center for the Arts at Edgewood Farm is a program that began in 2017, developed to encourage the development of creative, intellectual and personal growth of emerging and established artists. The Bryn Du Mansion is tasked with the historic preservation of the property and providing facilities for the cultural, recreational and educational benefit of the community.
