The Steel Yard’s historic campus is a platform for professional artists, makers, and the community to practice and learn the industrial arts. The organization fosters creative and economic opportunities, by providing workspace, tools, training, and education while forging lasting links to a local tradition of craftsmanship.

Ragdale is a nonprofit artist community located on the former country estate of Arts & Crafts architect Howard Van Doren Shaw and poet and playwright, Frances Wells Shaw. Through residencies, fully funded fellowships, and thematic collaborations, Ragdale annually supports approximately 150 artists, designers, and scholars from around the world, all of whom are seeking time and space to pursue distinctive works of the imagination. 

Founded by American artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill (1905-1972), the Camargo Foundation fosters creativity, research, and experimentation through its international residency program for artists, scholars, and thinkers. Since 1971 Camargo has hosted nearly 1,500 individuals working in the arts and humanities from all over the world. Located in Cassis, France, on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, the Foundation offers time and space in a contemplative and supportive environment.

The Taipei Culture Foundation became responsible for overseeing the operations of Taipei Artist Village in 2004 and took over supervision for Treasure Hill Artist Village in 2010. The two sites focus on cultivating talents and international exchange as their mission, endeavoring to provide artists in Taiwan and abroad a base for innovation and experimentation, encouraging art exchanges between Taiwan and the world while expanding the horizon of culture.

Create in Tranquility! Soaring Gardens Artists Retreat in the country near Laceyville, PA. offers visual artists, writers, composers & other musicians summer residencies of three weeks between May & October. We have two resident/studio buildings accommodating a maximum of six artists. No demands, simply spacious studios, pleasant rooms, nature and time.

Through workshops, residencies, events and a youth arts program the Sitka Center provides time and space for for place-based reflection, inquiry and creation at the intersection of art and ecology.

Sitka Center is located on the Oregon coast and adjacent to the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area, and the Salmon River Estuary. Sitka actively collaborates with the First Peoples of this land who today are represented by the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians and the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde. 

Sculpture Space seeks to build appreciation for the role of contemporary art and artists in society through residencies and other programs for outstanding sculptors that foster creative exploration, community collaboration, public engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Because sculpture has the power to positively transform society, we support sculptors and nurture public  discourse about important art issues. 

Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers artists from a range of disciplines a 5 – 6 week residency in the historic village of Vicksburg, Michigan.

We offer a unique environment for our artists to develop their craft: the 420,000 square foot former Lee Paper Company mill and it’s adjacent 80 acres of property.

We offer a stipend of $2,000, travel grant of $500, and private housing. We ask that our artists propose a way to give back to the community and donate a piece of work to our collection.

The Muncie Arts and Culture Council is the designated Arts Partner for the City of Muncie. As Arts Partner, we assist with municipal initiatives where art integration can benefit Economic Development and Quality of Place. As an arts alliance, we build community among artists and arts organizations and serve as a resource for professional growth and opportunity.
