EIAF 2026–2027 Artist in Residence Program | Applications Open

Elf School of the Arts is a nonprofit artist residency in Hayesville, NC. Situated beside the Appalachian Mountains and Lake Chatuge. Elf was originally an elementary school started in 1928 but has been renovated from 2022-2024 into an artist residency and concert venue.

This is our most prestigious artist award and is open to visual artists, literary artists, dancers, and musicians. The award includes a $10,000 individual grant and requires a two-to-eight-week stay at Oak Spring.

In 2017, the Murray- Holman family partnered with Collar Works to design a summer residency program for visual artists, with unique opportunities for individuals and families.

ORGANIZATION

The Emerging Artist and Writers Residency provides stipends, multiple resident gatherings, visiting artists & curators, and an open studio/public reading.

The Emerging-Artist-in-Residence (EAiR) Program serves promising younger artists who have had previous experience working with glass. Six artists are selected from applicants worldwide. They receive a $2,000 stipend, lodging, and access to studios for two months each fall.

The Emmanuel College Art Department offers a six-week artist residency to four artists each summer. The residency supports a diverse group of artists, providing uninterrupted time and space for established and emerging artists to develop their work.   

Designed for emerging and established painters and drawing artists, this 4-week residency from June 27 to July 24, 2026 offers dedicated studio time to deepen your practice, experiment with new techniques, or complete ongoing projects in ESSA’s inspiring Ozark campus setting.

Essere Residency, founded in 2023, is an annual, self-directed program designed to encourage the professional and personal growth of creatives of all disciplines at any stage of their career or personal self-expression.

Our residency programme #Ey!Studio is designed to provide the ideal environment for artistic creation in Madrid. The residencies are for artists and curators (no collectives accepted) of any nationality and age who do not live in Madrid, Spain.

For over 30 years, Kala Art Institute has awarded artists time, space, and financial support for their work through the Kala Fellowship. The Kala Art Institute Fellowship is an artist residency award for local, national, and international artists.

Since its creation 50 years ago, the Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship has become one of the leading residency programs in the world. 

Foundation House, located in back country Greenwich, CT, opens its doors for 10 days to six residents, allowing residents the time and space for concentrated creation in beautiful and inspiring surroundings.

Fountainhead Residency provides artists with connections to thrive in their careers and a nurturing environment to create, converse, inspire and be inspired.

Located on the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum campus in Wausau, Wisconsin, the Glass Box Studio provides space and time for artists to experiment, explore, and produce individually developed or collaborative artwork in any medium.

Golden Apple Art Residency is situated within a very quiet and secluded spruce forest, approximately an hour north of Acadia National Park along the rocky coast of DownEast Maine.

Thanks to a grant from the Ford Family Foundation, the Sitka Center will be able to offer a special residency opportunity to practicing, mid-career, Oregon artists. This program is for 2-4 weeks based on the artists availability.  This residency includes a stipend of $500 per week.

The Good Hart Artist Residency offers 10-21 day residency stays to visual artists, writers, and composers at any stage of their career.
