Residency Programs Profiles

Artists working in various printmaking techniques, photo-processes, book arts and digital media including video production can apply to become an Artist-in-Residence. Residency applications are accepted online three times per year.

Since 2001, KHN has hosted more than 50 working artists each year. Each has found privacy in which to create along with ample opportunities to interact with fellow residents in the vibrant rural town of Nebraska City, Nebraska.

We are a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-generational collective of creatives, educators, and farmers with a shared vision of creating a community based on democratic principles and a shared vision.

KODA offers an artist residency program for two mid-career, female-identifying and/or non-binary artists who create conceptual and socially engaged work. The Fall 2023 residency will span from August 1-October 31, 2023. The program is placed under the theme of Borders + Boundaries.

L'Expressoir Artist Residency invites emerging and established artists of all disciplines for a time and space away from their usual environments.

La Maison de Beaumont offers an Artist Residency in the Luberon region of Provence, France.

International group residencies offer up to eight artists the opportunity to live and work at the Château de La Napoule complex. These residencies focus on individual artistic expression and exploration.

The goal of the Lucid Art Residency Program is to provide artists with a serene, retreat-like natural environment for creative exploration and inquiry into arts and consciousness.

MacDowell provides residencies that facilitate a balance between focused work and interdisciplinary interaction among architects, composers, filmmakers, interdisciplinary artists, playwrights, visual artists, and writers. Residencies average 30 days in length within a range of 2 to 6 weeks.

Manship Artists Residency is dedicated to the preservation of an environmentally and historically significant site that has been given new life as an international, interdisciplinary artists residency for the benefit of the community and visitors to Cape Ann.

Marble House Project is a multi-disciplinary artist residency program that fosters collaboration & the exchange of ideas by providing an environment for artists across disciplines to live and work side by side.

Mesa Refuge welcomes a diverse group of writers, filmmakers, audio journalists and other creatives—both emerging and established—who are defining and/or offering solutions to the pressing issues of our time.

Our Core Residency program -- we will celebrate our 50th anniversary in July 2023 -- is one of the longest-running in country.

The Steepletop Residency, inaugurated in 2021, is a partially-subsized one-month stay; intended for scholars and creatives with institutional or private funding, cost is $3000.

From mid-December through late March yearly we offer the Wintertide Rustic Retreat with reduced-fee stays (does not include food/groceries) from a long weekend to one month.  Alumni of our Core and Steepletop residences may also apply to stay for free with work/trade.

We provide accepted artists with space and time to create new work without the interruptions of normal life and with the bonus of healthy meals. During each residency, we host visiting artist presentations as well as resident "show & tells" -- both are dessert potlucks.

This 12-day residency provides a brave space for 6 emerging Black, Indigenous, Latinx, AAPI, SWANA-Arab American, and artists of color from different disciplines to balance personal work-time with community interaction and optional sharing of work or performance, as well as time for play and reju

Purpose: The “Miss Sarah” Fellowship for Black Women Writers aims to provide Black women writers a restful environment conducive to reflection and writing.

The Moab Arts Re-Use Residency (MARR) program's mission is to challenge the perception of waste culture by providing a unique platform for artists at the intersection of art, community, and waste systems.

The Monira Residency Chicago is a performance and visual arts collaborative residency that is project driven. We are looking to support artist collaborations or individual artists whose work exists in the performance and visual art cross section.
