Located in the historic village of Montegiovi, Italy, in southern Tuscany, Cultivate’s La Baldi Residency is open to artists, writers, and researchers. The multi-disciplinary, self-directed international residency expands Cultivate’s investigative platform centered on land, place, and the commons. Individuals and collaborative teams are free to experiment, develop ideas and projects, rejuvenate, and explore the land and culture of this special area for two-week or one-month stays. Two one-month-long residencies are awarded each year. The residency awards cover all fees.

The Eureka Springs School of the Arts is looking for practicing woodworkers and craftspeople seeking focused time to refine their abilities, create new work, and expand their knowledge in a Mentored Residency under Master Woodcrafter, Doug Stowe. This will be a participant driven mentorship where you can ask for guidance on woodworking topics of your choice and gain the skills to forge your own individual path as a craftsperson. Doug Stowe is the author of 15 books, including The Wisdom of Our Hands: Crafting a Life. This residency will benefit woodworkers interested in pursuing a journey or career in the craft of woodworking. This is an opportunity for selected residents to be inspired by the Ozark Mountains' incredible natural beauty and unique culture. ESSA is within 5 miles of the renowned artist community of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. In today’s interconnected and resource-constrained world, arts and culture leaders must move beyond transactional relationships to build strategic partnerships that foster shared purpose and organizational resilience. This program, offered in partnership with the UK based global Partnership Brokers Association, will enable participants to explore ethical partnering, interest holder alignment, and strategies for long-term impact.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the Banff Centre and the Partnership Brokers Association, which includes access to their resource materials and global Partnership Broker's network.
This six-day course equips participants to design and lead high-performing partnerships across public, private, nonprofit, and community sectors. Participants will explore the full partnership cycle—from scoping and brokering to sustaining outcomes and learn about the full spectrum of collaborative relationships. This two-week residency encourages the exploration of new ideas in sports writing. Designed to challenge and stimulate, the program aims to inspire creative pieces of sports-focused non-fiction and to assist the writers in their completion.
A preeminent space for long-form journalism, this residency emphasizes the strengths of thorough and articulate reporting, distinctive storytelling, and literary devices.
This two-week self-directed residency offers time and space for writers to focus, reconnect, and re-energize their writing practice. In our Computational Writing residency, participants can better engage with computing to develop their own systems, whether their goals are conventional book publication or other manifestations of literary art. Methods participants can engage include (but are not limited to) templates, document schemata, grammars, Markov processes, rule-based transformation of existing texts, simulation of characters and settings, vector-space models and word embeddings, and work with LLMs —including fine-tuning them and training them from scratch. When residents come to MADE they will have access to many creative institutions such as Centro Cultural Ignacio Nigromante, Instituto Allende, Casa de la Cultura, El Sindicato, La Libreria Publica, Fabrica La Aurora, Casa Europa, Teatro Santa Clara and Teatro Angela Peralta, to mention some.
Many of these insitutes offer different types of short term classes and workshops ranging from 3 days to several weeks, which you may have interest to delve into new techniques to further develop your creative expression. For example, there are classes on cartoneria/"papier-mâché", papel picado/pecked paper, grabado/printmaking, hojalateria/tinsmithing, tallado de madera/woodworking, alebrijes, textiles, tejido/weaving, danza prehispanica/pre-hispanic dance, joyeria tipica/typical jewelry, and so on, which are part of the popular arts and crafts in Mexico.
MADE staff will support you in the process of registering for classes or workshops if you become a resident and if it is your desire to take part in one of them.
Pedvale International Artist Residency is located two hours northwest of Riga and is surrounded by the Pedvale Art Park that covers an area of almost 100 hectares with a diverse landscape – meadows, bushes, steep slopes, deep valleys, springs, streams and a winding river - as well as more then a 100 exhibited artworks. It is an ideal place for artists from a variety of creative domains to express themselves by using the artists’ residencies and park areas for exhibitions, concerts, shows and for other artistic expressions that are accessible to the wider public.

The artist’s fee is €480 per 4 weeks. The payment must be done no later than one month before the sojourning begins. Every participant can bring along one family member or partner that will cost 50% of the price.
Artists stay in our refurbished manor house – built at the beginning of the 19th century – in fully-furnished private bedrooms with private bathrooms and they have access to the kitchen, common areas, laundry, Pedvale Art Park grounds, car parking etc. We offer 4 studious on the ground floor of the manor house ~30 square meters each and 3 smaller ones in the basement. Artists have 24 hour access to the workspace. It is possible to work outside in the sculpture park as well.
