The weather here in May is particularly lovely - the flowers and trees, grass, etc. are in full bloom and colorful glory. It's a spectacular time to use the outdoor space to your advantage. Check out the website for many more photos. The founder/director spent a good amount of time in the last several years on this organic art experience by expanding the flower gardens so it's always fun to see what pops up. You can be guaranteed to see a lot of variations of green and many vibrant pops.

Your time is your own during this stay, but plan for social opportunities and cross-over conversations at various times beyond the organized group meals and a guided Forest Therapy walk. 

Program Fee is $700 which includes all access to the land, the private area of the Buffalo River, interactions with the special and incredible donkey crew (15 total, mostly miniatures), utilities, wifi broadband, the creative environment, housekeeping before/after and once a week during the program. Additionally 3 group meals (intro, mid-stream, finale), a camp care package, and a guided Forest Therapy walk with your host, a certified guide by ANFT. Expect at least one campfire if the weather permits and starry skies (also weather permitting as the moon wanes over the two weeks).

Lodging Fee ranges from $350 - 850 depending on your selected room - single options with shared bath or private ensuites that can be doubles. Five rooms with different size bed options will share a bathroom with possibly one other person. There are three ensuite options that can be single or double (price listed can be shared by two or is the single private upgrade).

Applications will be reviewed when submitted so if this interests you apply early for the prime option. First deadline is 12/31/2024 and if additional spots remain, applications will be reviewed until about March 1, 2025.

Program will run with a minimum of 2 participants and max occupancy is 9. Applications will be reviewed until spots are filled. 

Every effort will be made to select a variety of people with different mediums, backgrounds, and interests with a common thread of your connection to nature.

• If you are interested in staying longer, please make a note on your application. Early arrivals will receive a discount for an extended stay. Farm stay scholarships are not available for the Flower Moon cohort, but may be possible for extended stay option.
• Normally, dogs are the only pets accepted in the residency, however, there will be a no pet policy for this cohort.
• You may bring a friend or a partner for this residency and select the en-suite double occupancy option.

Multi-generational family experience available and programming can be coordinated for youth from toddler to teens. If you have creative tweens/teens, instead of sending them to sleep-away camp bring them along for a special, unique experience for each individual and the family as a whole. You will have dedicated studio and work time while the kids have customized nature-based, creative private instruction and mentorship intentionally away from the typical distractions of home life and modern society conveniences.

• This experience for toddlers to tweens can be a day camp style experience with private interaction based on interests that can range from a one time workshop to a daily activity.
• If your tween or teen has interest in graphic design, former design professor Val has a unique project options based on their age and skill level emphasizing hand craft from design basics to typography and advanced projects related to sustainability and the role of citizen designer. Or if they have interest in the arts in general, Val will offer a nature-based set of projects such as cyanotype, nature journaling, writing prompts, and craft. 

Choose from either the Raspberry Residency house (3 bedrooms, 2 baths with a full bed en-suite and two single private rooms) or the much bigger Lemon Lodge (3 bedrooms, 2 baths can technically sleep up to 14). You'll have exclusive access and be the only one's on site (unless another family is in the second lodging option).

Share this lovely, rural homestead experience where you can HUG DONKEYS, watch birds, immerse in the landscape, and see the stars on a non-cloudy night with those you love.

In 1997, Nancy B. Negley purchased the former residence of Dora Maar. In a five-year effort, she rehabilitated and updated this spacious eighteenth-century, four-story stone residence in the village of Ménerbes. Her goal was to make it a retreat for scholars, artists, and writers, where they could work undisturbed on their research, art, or writing, for one to two months.

Here outstanding mid-career professionals are offered fellowships that enable them to reside in the Dora Maar House and focus on the creative aspects of their work.

A travel award is based on the average fare of travel from the resident's hometown to Paris. 

A $1500 stipend is awarded.

ADDITIONAL ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

We are sorry to say the house is not completely adapted to persons with limited mobility access. It is on top of a hill in a medieval village. Getting to the house or to any of the stores in the village would be difficult. The rooms and studios are up two flights of stairs, though there is an elevator. The elevator cannot accommodate most wheelchairs. It is a very old house (15th century) and the floors are not even, there are small steps up and down between rooms.

A person with mobility issues can discuss with the staff their specific needs and level of mobility to see if it would be possible. Persons with some but limited mobility have been able to enjoy a month-long residency with some restrictions. Caregiver or companion is allowed in this context, but they must be a partner and willing to share the same bedroom with the fellow.

Our residency programme #Ey!Studio is designed to provide the ideal environment for artistic creation in Madrid. The residencies are for artists and curators (no collectives accepted) of any nationality and age who do not live in Madrid, Spain.
Since 2017, 46 artists have shown their work at #Ey!Studio from national and international backgrounds such as the United States, Italy, Brazil, Russia, Portugal, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, etc.
We are located in the neighbourhood of Carabanchel, a district in full cultural boom, known as the "Soho of Madrid", where a total of 160 artists are currently working in approximately 40 studios, as well as art galleries and the Matadero Art Centre.
We are located next to Madrid Río, a leisure and recreational area around the Manzanares River, as well as being only 20 minutes from the city centre by public transport.
