The mission of Rock Street Artist Residency (RSAR) is to provide a unique space for artists to immerse themselves in their creative process, set against the inspiring backdrop of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Croft Residency is a small residency on the hill facing South located in Horton Bay Michigan. The residency is on a 20 acre parcel of land on a dead end street. The residency overlooks Lake Charlevoix. Our main studio space is a large outdoor deck for dancing.

For over fifty years the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program has provided talented artists a year-long opportunity to focus on their creative work. The Roswell Residency is not project-based nor engagement driven, providing the artist an opportunity to look inwardly.

Imagine waking up to the sound of the forest, walking stone paths worn smooth by generations, and sharing a meal with people who have lived their whole lives in the same valley. Then opening your laptop. Picking up your tools.

Every year during the second weekend in July, Watershed welcomes guests to campus for our annual ceramics picnic, Salad Days.

Established in 1939, Montalvo Arts Center is home to the third oldest residency program in the United States. In 2004, Montalvo recommitted to its support of artists and opened a new, state-of-the-art facility, relaunching as the Sally and Don Lucas Artists Residency Program.

Sheepscot Arts Preserve is a new artist residency center that is dedicated to supporting Visionary, Outsider and Narrative (Visual) Artists of all disciplines with an emphasis on visual artists. We are located on 42 beautiful acres bordering the Sheepscot River in Alna, Maine.
